As we celebrated our 62nd birthday, the first part of the community buy-in was achieved: a large part of The Park Ecovillage has moved into community ownership. History has been made!

The new, community-owned Light of Findhorn Sanctuary is beginning to take shape – the foundations and lower wall are now in place! It replaces the original sanctuary that was lost to fire in April 2021.

Celestial fireworks danced over The Park in May, on a weekend when the Northern Lights were seen as far south in Britain as Cornwall. These stunning images were taken by community member Adele Napier.

23 April 2024: A day to celebrate, as building work began today on our new Sanctuary, 56 years after the original Main Sanctuary opened in April 1968. 

The Phoenix Cafe in the Park Ecovillage in Findhorn is ‘a prime spot’, says Scottish news outlet The Press & Journal, and not only for the menu. Visit for a vibrant calendar of live events, music, open mics and art exhibition openings.

A gambler, a shoplifter, an immigrant – even a dead person, were among the performers in Confessions, the recent thought-provoking piece from the Theatre of the 7 Directions in the Universal Hall, Findhorn.

Building is starting on our new Sanctuary, almost exactly three years since it was razed by fire in April 2021.
